Kurzbeschreibung des Referates:

This talk will start by reviewing the different types of threat intelligence and how each kind – tactical, operational and strategic is consumed differently in an organisation from perimeter defence and security posture.  Using FS-ISAC as a case study and the financial sector's experience as examples we will look at how information sharing can help a community become collectively stronger both in Switzerland and worldwide.

We will look at the current major challenges facing intelligence sharing and collaboration including regulatory issues.  Also of importance is the need to deal with fast-developing new technologies (for example intelligence automation, FinTech, and cloud), the increasing prevalence of fast-moving, organized attacks and threat actors such as state protagonists, and cultural issues that prevent organizations cooperating more effectively for the purposes of collective defence.

Finally we will look at the direction intelligence sharing might take in taking in the coming years with new regulation on incident reporting and emerging technologies and trends. We will also take a look and carry into discussion the current situation with regard to intelligence sharing in Switzerland.
